Barclay & Daughters was founded in 2004 by Steven Barclay, a licensed transport manager who has used his wealth of experience to build a professional and nationally competitive road haulage service.
Our state of the art fleet is fitted with the very best tools for the job and driven by some of the most highly trained and experienced drivers in the industry.

Our Vision
Our goal is to deliver a seamless service for our customers which will aid them in being competitive in their industries, by ensuring that their products and resources get to where they need to be on time and safely.
We aim to relieve our clients of the task of transportation by taking on as much of the burden as we can. This includes providing lifting services, escort vehicles where necessary, as well as assistance with any planning and administrative tasks.

Safety First
We are FORS accredited and put the highest value on the safety of our staff, clients, and the occupants of vehicles we may encounter on the road. Our strict safety policies are testament to this and have resulted in a fantastic safety record.
We adhere to and exceed the safety standards set within the haulage industry. We take all precautions necessary to ensure the highest levels of safety. Our vehicles are inspected in our own garage every 6 weeks. The timber equipment gets inspected in house every 4 weeks because of its rigorous working.
Plus, our highly trained and accredited drivers carry out vehicle checks every day.

Barclay & Daughters are proud to support charity in the region. In particular, we work closely with The Archie Foundation and provide vital services for children throughout the Highlands and Western Isles.

We have been using Seafield Transport (SFT) since March 2022, both office-based personnel and drivers are professional and helpful. SFT are customer facing and have always been accommodating and polite on our sites whilst representing us. SFT are flexible and nothing is too much trouble, if it can be done, it will be done. We as a business feel secure in their hands.
I am Craig Grigor and I am the factory manager at Springfield timber kit system in Elgin Morayshire Scotland. We make timber kit house and floor cassette (mid house floors ) here at the factory. We have been using Seafield transport for delivery of the above materials to various site across Scotland for the past 7 months. 17 live sites at the moment from Dornoch in the north to Dumfries in the south. Seafield’s have delivered 60 to 90 loads per calendar month and done it to a great standard of service. From the office staff to the drivers all well-mannered polite and happy to help in every aspect of the job. All vehicles are in pristine condition and stand out on the road (my personal opinion this looks great to be hauling the product we make.)
