Distance and location are no obstacle for us, as we can reach isolated sites in forests across the whole of the UK. All of our drivers have years of experience transporting heavy loads across forest roads, meaning they can access the site quickly before expertly loading the timber.
Our fleet includes five vehicles specifically designed with the transport of round timber in mind. Our timber trucks are fitted with their own cranes and all of our operators are certified, enabling the easy loading and unloading of timber. Our skeletal trailers all have the off-road suspension needed to safely transport large amounts of timber.
We’re proud to be supporting forestry and sustainability through our work with round timber. By using modern techniques and adhering to the Road Haulage of Round Timber Code of Practice, our designated vehicles and experienced drivers can transport round timber with the minimal possible effects on the environment.
Modern technologies and methods
All of our specialised timber vehicles are fitted with the TIREBOSS™ pressure control system, which allows our vehicles to deflate their tires when necessary. This helps to protect and limit wear on forest roads, preserving access to work sites and the integrity of roads. Tyres can then be re-inflated later on, keeping them safe to use on main roads.
We also have one of the very few vehicles in the UK where the crane is mounted to the cab. This eliminates the need for a second vehicle, which further helps protect forest roads and cut costs.
Our speedy and expert work coupled with our sustainability efforts and compliance with the Forestry Code of Practice have meant that many of our clients, such as Euroforest and Gordon Timber, choose to repeatedly hire us to assist with their round timber needs.
